Hello all! WKU is hosting an observing night tonight (8/30/23) for a rare lunar event where we have a full blue moon at perigee (closest distance to the Earth). At 8pm, we’ll be meeting in Kelly Thompson Hall’s 1st floor lobby and going up to the rooftop where you’ll have the chance to look through an observatory telescope, see a bright full moon and Saturn’s rings, and enjoy conversing with astronomers, amateur and professional alike!
